Partial Discharge Monitoring System for MV Circuits

Electrical installations

We installed a Medium Voltage (MV) circuit monitoring system based on partial discharge detection, aimed at increasing reliability and enabling preventive diagnostics within MV switchgear.

The project included installing toroidal sensors (CTs) on MV cable screens inside MV switchgear cells, earthing/grounding conductors (PAT), and mounting control and measurement modules. Signal wiring was completed using coaxial cables, and communications were integrated via Cat6A Ethernet and fiber optics. The scope also covered full installation, testing, and certification of all components and network links.
