Sulfur Filter and Gas Scrubber Automation with ABB DCS

We delivered the automation of a sulfur filter and a gas scrubber, fully integrated into an ABB DCS. The project covered engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning—ensuring stable and reliable process operation.

 

The scope included building and installing panels with controllers and I/O, power distribution and protections, terminal blocks, labeling, and full documentation. On site, we performed instrument installation (pressure, temperature, flow, level, and analyzers as applicable), supports and rack installation, power and signal cabling, terminations in junction boxes and panels, and verification of proper cable routing, segregation, and workmanship.

 

We completed loop checks, calibration and signal validation, testing of interlocks, alarms, and control logic, as well as DCS configuration and integration (I/O mapping, scaling, alarms, trends, and historian). Finally, we supported start-up and commissioning, fine-tuning the system and delivering a fully operational, documented solution for operations and maintenance.
